Description |
Lane, Lennie (maker). A wooden stool with composite seal hook equipment. The wooden stool has 3 legs approximately 7.5 in.) and the seat is triangular (approximately 12 in. on each side). There is a small triangle cut into the seat 1.5 in. into one side measuring approximately 2 in. on each side. The composite seal hook equipment is attached to the legs of the stool. The equipment consists of a weight, hook, and line. The "large acorn shaped" wooden weight with a metallic loop on one end is approximately 6.5 in. in length and 11 in. in diameter. The 4 pronged hook is made of rusting copper alloy stem with iron hook. The hook has a hole on each side of the stem (one attached to the weight and other to the line). The line is a thin white cotton rope. Midway into the line, there is a small wooden piece approximately 1 in. in length.¬ulture: Inupiaq |
