"Terrified at the thought of staying indoors after fleeing from the Alaskan earthquake area , the David Wilson family of Portage fled inland and spent the night sleeping out in the open . Daughter Linda , 8 , suffered a bad case of frostbite and was hospitalized in Anchorage .
