Title from caption. View of Cushman Street in Fairbanks. The Third Avenue Hotel is clearly visible. On the right side of the photograph one can partially see the Horsehoe Saloon. The neighboring business is Suter's. Edward (Eddie) A. Suter was a jeweler , optician , and watchmaker. In the upper left corner of the photograph is a window with the name "Morton E. Stevens " on it. Morton Stevens arrived in Fairbanks in 1905 and practiced law. For more information on Mr. Stevens see : http://www.alaska.edu/uajourney/notable-people/fairbanks/morton-stevens/ Below Steven's law office is "The Fairbanks " also a saloon. The Horseshoe and The Fairbanks were both located at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Cushman Street. In the foreground a valve and pipe are partially visible.
