Title from caption .Color postcard postmarked from Cordova on Apr . 19 , 1910 and addressed to Miss Tomie Clemons , Devine , Texas , Medina Co . [County] . Written on verso , "4-17-10 . Dear little sister Tomie , have just received your long and loving letter and Mama's little piece of a letter (it is alright tho [though] as she promised to do better soon.) Was mightly glad to hear from you . I always am . But this time it had been a long time since [I] had gotten a letter . The snow isn't gone yet , but I'm [illegible word] just the same . Will write soon . Basil to Tomie. " Written on photo , "How would you like to take a boat ride with us Tomie ? It isn't sandy here. I think that is what the little Indian kids would say if they knew you . I imagen [imagine] the little one in the old squaw's lap looks like little Pauline . [Illegible word] . Best wishes and sweet kisses to Tomie . Basil. "
