Title
Dr . Hudgin in front of a tent
Description
Title from caption . Photograph of Dr . Hudgin seated in front of a tent . Narrative in photo album reads : "At right : Dr . Hudgin , a medical doctor who 30 years before was told in the East he had only a few months to live on account of tuberculosis of the lungs . He hiked to the Pacific Coast , living out of doors , came to Alaska and was still hale and hearty . He used to take snow baths , getting up early in the morning and actually rolling naked in snow drifts . One morning his cabin locked itself and he nearly froze before he could awaken anyone & get back into it . He said he ate but 1 meal a day - but he always had nuts and things in his pockets. "
