Stringers and rails taken up to save them from going into river . Piledriver other side waiting for ice to quit running. " Verso also stamped "Please Return To Kay J . Kennedy . Anchorage , Alaska. " The Copper River and Northwestern Railway connected Cordova , Alaska , to the Kennecott Mine and was in operation from 1911 to 1938 .
