Evon and Stephanie Apokedak had a fishcamp on the mouth of Kasinak, which is down river from Igiugig. Evon made a dog house from an old boat. The family lived in the little house during the summer months to put up fish for the winter.

Peter Da Apokedak guiding Georgette Wilson to the finish line. This was an one-dog race "Pee-Wee Race". The dog was named "Pretty Ulgy", and was owned by the Wilsons. The race was held on the lake. The race was held during Kokhanok Carnival.
