Albert J. Johnson worked as a Fairbanks photographer from 1905 to 1914. From 1916-1918, he worked in Alaska as an official government photographer for the Alaska Engineering Commission.
Alaska Electric Light and Power Company (AEL&P), Juneau, acquired the Alaska - Juneau Gold Mining Company properties, including their photographs of the mining operation, construction of Salmon Creek Dam, etc.
Note: "Canyon" is a misnomer; the name Abercrombie was later attached to the rapids near Copper River's entrance to Miles Lake Photographer's number 550
