Made from birch fungus; round with wire loop inserted for hanging on the net which it is being constructed; "och-kumay-lo-torak"? is the native name given in Inupiaq in the field collection notes, however it is also followed by a question mark....
Solid piece of wood; knob handle on top; flared, flat base; stained red; 5" tall; shows much use. Used for mashing up salmon eggs, cranberries, eskimo ice cream etc. "Koch'sin"
