Title taken from album caption. According to the Mineral Management Service's Shipwrecks off Alaska's Coast: The gas schooner Olga "Went ashore and wrecked in strong autumn gale." at Nome on 10/9/1909.
Cache of baleen, man (trader?) standing. Probably autumn, because the water is shallow, and there is no ice. In the spring, the whale would be pulled up by its tail, and in the fall it would be pulled up by its head.
Title taken from accompanying note. "Back of Pioneers Hall, Wiseman." A view of a log building from the rear. A man is seen passing by. The color of the leaves on the trees and ground indicate that this picture may have been taken in the fall.
